The lid of this lovely vintage 2 3/4" x 2 3/8" compact by Kaycraft is a mosaic of contrasting white mother of pearl & abalone rectangular tiles that have a beautiful pearly iridescence.  The inside has a beveled mirror, hinged powder compartment and puff marked "Kaycraft".
It was never used. The mirror has the residue of the paper tags which I have not removed. It is in good preowned condition with some storage wear on the underside.
