Vintage US Power Squadron Nautical Yacht Flag Embroidered Dura-Lite - 16” x 24”

Description

From an estate, here is a vintage Dura-lite 16" x 24" U.S. Power Squadron Flag with 13 embroidered Stars and a fouled Anchor on a red background.  The 13 vertical Blue and White Stripes are sewn together, not printed.  This flag had been stamped "Dura-Lite" and 16" x 24" along the binding.  I gently laundered this Flag to see if some of the staining on the edge could be eliminated.  The staining is lighter, but it is still there.  The "Dura-lite" info washed away.  The body of the flag is quite bright, perhaps with a little bit of fading of the blue stripe that would have been most exposed to the sun when flown on a yacht.  I do find it odd that the Stars and Anchor are not centered vertically on the red background, but instead are skewed a bit more toward the top.  Please see all photos for details regarding a couple of stitches missing and a tiny bit of fraying at the sewn edge and near the grommets.
