Vintage DORSET 5th Ave COMPACT Shield Silver Golden Classy. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
Here is a classy marked inside and with older LOGO of romantic couple

It measures about 3” across. It has some metal weight to it and is a combination of silver and gold tone . The center is a bright gold tone Shield that was suitable for initials but this one was not initialed.
You can see on the front s couple of spots of color wear and some mild scratching.
The back does have spots.

The inside mirror has some spotting but you can see yourself in mirror.
The flip pan opens and closes securely. It still has loose powder inside and sturdy labeled puff.
The piece had sturdy hinges and opens and closes securely.
This was a high end style and was not inexpensive in it’s day.
Fun to collect compacts and there are so many varieties.
Also environmentally friendly as they were reusable. The compact dates prior to the throw away compacts starting in the 60s and (probably 1950’s era )a part time f our fashion history.
