Vintage Daniel Red Leather Mirror Compact Vanity Clutch Wallet  Set Fleur de Lis Gold

This lovely vintage Daniel wallet mirror compact set was found at an estate sale.  It is made of red leather and has an Art Deco Fleur de Lis design with the colors of white and black.  Inside the wallet is a pocket on the left which is printed, "Daniel" and holds the mirror compact.  There is also a black elastic strap which probably held a small pen or pencil.  On the other side is a pocket for change or other small items and it is printed, "Top Grain Cowhide".   It has a snap fastener closure. The compact has the same design as the wallet with leather on the top and it is made of gold tone metal.  It has a push button clasp opening.  Inside the compact is a mirror on the top.  The bottom has a removable cutout and paper and originally held powder but is now empty.  The compact measures approximately .53" high x 2.82" wide x 2.53" deep. The wallet measures approximately 3.23" high x 4.14" wide x 1" deep.  Please note that there is some vintage wear on this set which includes scratches on the wallet.  The wallet is missing the pen or pencil that was originally there.  There is wear on the compact with some damage on the mirror (please see last photo).  Please also note that when you open up the compact that the mirror does not stay up and falls backwards.  There are also scratches on the compact and stains.  There are some dark places (tarnish/patina) on the compact. The set is still in good vintage condition and is a very rare find!  I have not seen another set like it and it would be a great addition to your vintage collection.
