Beautiful pressed glass cake stand and matching vase in bright yellow in the 'Pressed Diamond' pattern, made by Central Glass Co. circa 1885. EAPG (early American pattern glass) cake stands such as this one were made in many patterns and colors. It is very rare to find a set like this!
Measures 4 3/8 inches high, 9 3/8 inches diameter overall, should easily accommodate an 8 inch round cake. Unmarked.
Glass from this period is more than 100 years old and sometimes has tiny flaws such as bubbles, inclusions, fold lines and other irregularities in the glass--these are perfectly normal and expected issues that occurred in the making of the piece. You can also expect utensil marks on the top of the plate from use.
Overall condition is good, with no cracks or repairs.
