AVON .925 Sterling Silver 25th Anniversary President's Award Plate 7.14 Troy Oz
This commemorative plate comes inside of it's original box that states: TWENTY FIFTH AVON ANNIVERSARY "A MESSAGE FROM AVON'S PRESIDENT".
The plate weighted approximately 7.14 Troy Ounces or 222.3 grams on my scale.
The front of the plate itself states: "In recognition of twenty-five years of loyal service to your Avon customers"  David W. Mitchell President.  This is surrounded by scrollwork around the plates rim.
The rear of the plate states "Sterling Silver Made in England"  with hallmarks towards the bottom.
The hallmarks appear to be "P&H" inscribed within three circles which should be for Pepper & Hope silversmiths, an anchor indicating that it was manufactured in Birmingham, the lion indicating that it's sterling silver, and a B within a chamfered square which indicates this plate was made in 1976.
The plate is in used condition and shows some signs of wear and minor tarnishing that appears to be easily polished for display.  The box is in good condition with minor shelf wear.
This plate also includes a blue polishing cloth that also covers and protects the plate when stored in the box.
