    Description

Presented is a printed Union Jack, circa 1897- 1910. This flag was a parade flag. The flag is printed on cotton. This flag is a combination of the flags of three distinct nations- England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The Union Jack postdates the Act of Union of 1801, in which the Kingdoms of Ireland and Great Britain joined to form the United Kingdom. The name "Union Jack" became official when it was approved in Parliament in 1908.
