    This book is based on a 'Stately Old Homes' series which was published by the SANDUSKY REGISTER in 1958 and 1959. Mrs. William Hansen wrote the articles because of her knowledge and interest in homes and families of old SAndusky through personal correspondence, interviews, records, books and newspapers.
    Because of Mrs. Hansen's interest in the Sandusky Library Museum, it is fitting her series is now being published in permanent form as the first fundraising project to assist the LIbrary Association's Follett House Committee to establish a museum at the historic old home.
