    Description

    Vintage National Radio R-175 plate choke in very good condition.
    The R-175 choke reactance is high throughout the 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meter bands.
    The R-175 choke is suitable for parallel-feed as well as series-feed in transmitters with plate supply up to 3000 volts modulated or 4000 volts unmodulated. Inductance 185 uH. (

    .), distributed capacity 0.6 uuF., d-c resistance 6 ohms, d-c current 800 ma., voltage breakdown to base 12,500 volts.
    This coil dates from prior to 1956. It appears to have never been used. It is from the estate of a local SK and has been in storage. However I am selling this as "used".
    NationalR-175 plate choke pre-dates the R-175A which was revised to include 6 meter operation. This coil is NOT the R-175A.
