I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This Transfer Ware piece, which I believe to be a jewelry box given the puffed up silk on the inside of the lid, has a transfer of
Carnavon Castle.
It is surrounded by four sprays of flowers at each corner.
The box is in excellent overall condition with no noticeable flaws, save for some minor wear, but please look at the pictures to determine the overall condition.
