This beautiful makeup case is from aunt's estate.  It is GENUINE mother-of-pearl, and I believe she purchased this in the 1950s.
Except for 2 tiny little chips in the mothers of pearl (which I noted in 1 of my pictures), this is in excellent condition.  The brass inside and on the sides is beautiful and there is a compartment for powder foundation, a lipstick and a real tortoise comb is included.  The makeup mirror is in mint condition.
Underneath the compartment for the powder foundation is a secret compartment for putting money or anything that you need to keep hidden.
The makeup case measures 5 1/4" X 3" X 3/4".
The brass lock works perfectly and this is a one-of-a-kind makeup case.
It is truly a beautiful item and it will make a wonderful addition to any collection.
This item comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
