CataTonic43 Lagoon Powercat….A very specialand affordable opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind
4 stateroom, 4 head with showers 2005
Lagoon Power Catamaran. CataTonic can be purchased WITHOUT SALES TAX!
CataTonicwas built by the premier French boat builder Jeanneau which was later acquiredby Beneteau now the worldwide leader in Catamaran boats.
There were113 Lagoon 43 Power Cats manufactured.
Lagoon 43 Power Catamarans feature compositeconstruction with vinyl ester and polyester resin hulls, deck and nacelle, solidfiberglass counter mold and structure, fixed keel ahead of propellers forgrounding protection. There are stainless-steel safety rails with opening gatesport and starboard. The stainless-steel safety gate is aft of each gangway withsingle stainless-steel lifelines, a teak toe rail and 9 mooring cleats.
What makes the Lagoon 43 PowerCatamaran unique and one of the most sought after power catamarans today?
The 43Lagoon Power Cat is known for its incredible use of space, both inside and out.
No otherpower catamaran in this size range…even the Lepoard 47, has as much storagespace both inside and out…especially this 4-stateroom version. CataTonicfeatures staterooms with queen size beds and a total of 6 hanging lockers, 12 smallerlockers with over 30 shelves, 4 large pull out drawers. On the outside the 43also features 5 huge lazarettes…two in the swim platform, one in the sole ofthe aft salon and two at the bow.
In addition, the 43 Lagoon Power Cat is the
onlycatamaran
that features a huge
full-beamteak swim platform
that is 3ft deep by 21 feet long.
CataTonicalso features a
seating area forward ofthe cabin
. This extended living space is a feature not found on othercatamarans until 2015. There is also a
teaksun deck
aft of the cabin. And because the dinghy is suspended from a swimplatform-mounted davit, this sun deck provides an ideal extended living area forlounges and outdoor seating.
Whereas the4-stateroom layout is ideal for large families or for those consideringchartering or using staterooms for VRBO, the aft staterooms of thefour-stateroom version can easily be converted to one single large, king sizesuite. The two aft staterooms are separated by a single partition, which can beremoved to create this suite.
Another significant benefit is CataTonic’sfuel economy, even with her upgraded powerful 315 hp Twin Yanmar 6LPA-STP2diesels, at 7 knots, she is burning a scant 1.2 L per hour total. The 315s werea pricey upgrade, but one much desired because it provides the best of bothworlds: fuel economy and sufficient speed…WOT of 23 knots…. to get out of theway of weather or make an anchorage before nightfall!
CataTonic enables turning on her ownlength making her easy to manage, even in the tightest places.
CataTonic cannot be compared with anyother similar sized power cat….even more current and larger power cats.

This is a 120v/60hz AC boat, with aboat-wide inverter and a 8-house battery bank much which has much more capacitythat factory. The Magna Sine inverter handles inverting, switching and chargingduties, which means that the 120v system is always on and working (if you wantit to be) ... it switches automatically from shore power/generator. The unit isalso able to deal with low current shore power by providing boost from theinverter as needed ... no more brown outs ever. Coupled with the revamp of the120v AC system, the 12v system was also redesigned. Battery bank capacity wasdoubled, monitors installed as well as an auxiliary battery charger. Allhalogen lights were replaced with LED lamps to provide better energyconservation and longer life. To maximize charging while underway, high currentwiring was upgraded and new smart charge controllers installed.
