Description
Beautiful lot of 4 Jeannette Glass Iris & Herringbone clear tall or stemmed sherbets/champagnes which are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, fleabites, etc. These pieces are from my personal collection of Iris & Herringbone and have been very well cared for. They are the "tall" or stemmed sherbets and measure 4 inches in height and have a diameter of 3 1/2 inches at upper rim. I use this particular size for shrimp cocktail and for parfait desserts or ice cream with fruit. They have a very elegant look for special dinners. I began collecting Iris & Herringbone in the 1980s and have an extremely large set. However, I am in the process of downsizing and decided to sell some of my extra pieces. Jeannette Glass introduced Iris & Herringbone in 1928 and it was made through the late 1940s and early 1950s. The original color was the clear - the iridescent yellow was made during the latter part of production. It is an extremely popular Depression Glass pattern since it's so recognizable with the Iris bloom on the herringbone background - it is also a popular pattern in the South since Iris is the state flower of Tennessee. I have priced these pieces very reasonably - at a fraction of prices on replacement sites, especially for such fine specimens. This is a great opportunity to add some lovely pieces to your set of Depression Glass. All items I sell either come from or have been stored in a smoke free environment and are sold “as-is”. I photograph and describe in detail to the best of my ability.
I do NOT accept returns, so please read detailed description and look at photos carefully!!!
Please contact me if you have any questions whatsoever or would like more information, and I will be glad to answer and/or provide additional photos if desired. I respond promptly to any questions. I package very carefully and normally ship via UPS or Fedex by next business day following purchase and payment.
Note: I no longer ship extremely fragile or large packages via USPS. USPS routinely mishandles packages resulting in delayed delivery and higher than normal breakage and loss. Fedex/UPS may be slightly more expensive; however they handle packages promptly and carefully; and are much more reliable and reputable in the unlikely event of breakage or loss.
I will be glad to combine multiple purchases to save on shipping costs where feasible. If you wish to make a multiple purchase please contact me before paying for items so I may figure correct shipping and send you an accurate invoice. Packages are shipped with tracking and/or insurance.
Please read our feedback - buyers are enthusiastic in their praise and are very pleased with their purchases as well as quick handling and delivery.
