    The first part of the booklet contains a history of the county: Physical features -- Topography, Geology, etc.; Settlement and Early Scenes; County Organizations; County Officers; Elections; County Finances; Railroads; Societies; Population; Courts and Crime; Attorneys; Military History, including extensive coverage of the Civil War; Cities, Towns and Villages -- Fayetteville, Springdale, Elm Springs, West Fork, Prairie Grove, Boonsboro, Evansville, Cincinnati, etc.; Education, including Cane Hill College, Fayetteville Female Seminary,  Ozark Institute, Elm Springs Academy, Arkansas Industrial University; Churches; Post offices; and other items of interest.
