This is a
LARGE
and absolutely
GORGEOUS
antique
ORMOLU
jewelry box or casket from the 50's or 60's! It is really
RARE!
It is
SHAPED LIKE A BUTTERFLY
and has
FABULOUS DETAILED FILIGREE all around! The two "wings" are BEVELED GLASS with FANCY SCROLLS AROUND EACH!
EXTREMELY DETAILED
with
FILIGREE
and
ORNATE LEGS
and more! It has gold velvet inside and on the center divider.  Measures 2 7/8" tall, 7 1/4" by 4 1/4".
EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY and WELL MADE!
There is filigree even around the outside of the beveled glass lids! The 3 legs are even
ORNATE
scrolls
!  Great condition with minimal discoloration
from being over 50 years old!  The
hinge works well.
PLEASE NOTE: THE COLOR OF THE VELVET INSIDE IS GOLD. AND UNDER THE BOX IT IS A DARK GREEN MATERIAL although it show blue green. I don't know why the camera picked it up that way.
The dark green velvet on the bottom has a few small depressions but it cannot be seen unless it is picked up. It is not signed but from the quality is more than likely Stylebuilt or Matson.
