This auction is for an Antique "Diamond Point" Clambroth Glass Covered Pomade Jar, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1850 - 1870. This is a very pretty flint glass covered egg cup or pomade jar, in a clambroth gray - white color. This is a very attractive pattern and this example has a nipple shaped finial. This pomade jar is listed in, "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #3269, where it booked for 0 in clambroth glass back in 1987. I offer this rare clambroth glass pomade jar with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The Diamond Point pomade jar stands 5 5/8" H. (top of cover finial) 3 3/4" H. (top of base) x 2 9/16" Dia. at the top and 2 5/16" Dia. at the base. CONDITION: The condition is very good with an uneven edge to one spot on the foot. The pomade jar has minimal wear commensurate with age to the base. The glass does show the imperfections found in all early flint glass.
