ANTIQUE 1920 LA TAUSCA GILT PURPLE GLASS CRYSTAL & PEARL JEWELED BOX CASKET CASE
For your consideration is the La Tausca jewelry box pictured above. A 1920's jewelry box, La Tausca was known for their high-end faux pearls and their beautiful presentation boxes. Their early jeweled boxes produced in 1915 were so popular that they won awards at the 1915 Panama-Pacific San Francisco World's Fair. Today, their faux pearls are not popular but their early jeweled boxes continue to be a desirable collectible item. The box pictured above measures approximately 6 1/2 X 4 3/8 X 2 inches and has a large purple crystal glass stone with a small faux pearl on the four corners
. The box is in very good condition for its age, however, the internal satin lining show signs of age. The 2nd shelf insert is included.
