ANTIQUE 1920 LA TAUSCA GILT ORMOLU GREEN GLASS CABOCHON JEWELED BOX CASKET CASE
For your consideration is the La Tausca jewelry box pictured above. A 1920's jewelry box, La Tausca was known for their high-end faux pearls and their presentation boxes. Their early jeweled boxes produced in 1915 were so popular that they won awards at the 1915 Panama-Pacific San Francisco World's Fair. Today, their faux pearls are not popular but their early jeweled boxes continue to be a desirable collectible item. The box pictured above measures approximately 5 7/8 X 5 7/8 X 2 1/2 inches and has five large green crystal glass
cabochons
. The box is in very good condition for its age. The 2nd shelf insert is totally intact and is in pristine condition along with the rest of the internal satin lining. La Tausca boxes in this condition are rare.
